Alsana Castlewood's History Of Victim Shaming

Alsana Castlewood engages in public victim shaming of its former patients. Whenever a lawsuit is filed against them the statements released to the press are abusive to the vulnerable patients they treat. Alsana Castlewood goes on the offensive first, rarely taking the time to investigate or review the problems brought forth in these lawsuits.

Former CEO, Nancy Albus, said of one suit “Like the other complaints, this one aims to generate publicity with bizarre, lurid allegations that are the stuff of Hollywood. Castlewood Treatment Center's dedicated professionals deserve better than to be maligned in this manner."

“The allegations in this and the other cookie cutter-style lawsuits filed by the plaintiff’s attorney in this case against Alsana are categorically false. Like the other complaints, this one aims to generate publicity with bizarre, lurid allegations that are the stuff of Hollywood.” In a separate press release, Castlewood then stated, “Whenever there is a lawsuit with publicity, others want to jump on the bandwagon. … Of the thousands of clients treated, most are extremely grateful but there will be a few who are angry and need someone to blame – and there will always be lawyers waiting. So in other words, if you speak out against Alsana Castlewood they attempt to scare the crap out of you. Guess what Alsana Castlewood? - we are not afraid of you any longer.
